I'm a Black, Deaf, and LGBTQIA artist, Illustrator and content creator.
I've been passionate about art and creativity since I was a little girl, and I picked up crayons after I got bored at the church my family and I went to. Fell in love with the arts instantly. I have also explored many other things, such as fashion and building crafts.
Since 2018, I have been building the Leejanart brand for my freelance business after I graduated. After a couple of years, I opened the shop online in 2024. I work on new ideas every day, and I hope to share my work with you all.
Currently, I'm working on many personal and business projects and private commissions while working 7-3 at a job. I live in Pennsylvania.
Why I chose a name?
I started to design my own logo in 2018. At first, I chose this name because it carries a memory for me for the rest of my life. LeejanArt has three meanings for me: "Lee" sounds like my name. I struggled to say my name. With the help of my mother by taught me a simple word: Lee Lee. Later, Lee Lee became my childhood nickname.
"Jan" is a short form of the name Janet, my grandmother, who passed away many years ago.
"Art" has been the most important part of my life since I was little. I became passionate about doing things, whether through traditional, mixed media, or digital art.
In 2020, I decided to redesign the original logo. The redesign is the best choice I made. I wanted it to reflect my artistic style, represent who I am as an artist, and show my true self.
